They facilitate the opening of the bags on the finished product.

This characteristic remains also on the finished product.

Possible processing problems
An excess of additive can give rise to problems in the labeling and inking phases, and with the weldability of the finished product (especially when used in film plastic), as well as transfer phenomena from package to contents.
